How far in advance can you book a Disney World hotel?

Short answer

On October 2, 2026, Disney's booking site offered Disney World hotel rooms for arrivals through about October 31, 2027. That is 394 days ahead. This is our own morning check, unofficial.

Disney announces the last bookable date when it opens a new block of dates, but it does not show a live figure. We check it every morning. Below: today's reading, the daily history, and any dates the window jumped.

Dining is different. It opens 60 days before each date. Disney Resort hotel guests can book dining for their whole stay, up to a 10-night stay, 60 days before check-in.

The furthest bookable Disney World hotel date today

Each morning we ask Disney's booking site about rooms at two large Disney World resorts, Grand Floridian and Pop Century. About a dozen requests narrow in on the last check-in date that still shows rooms. It can be up to 2 days short of the true last date.

We count a date if Disney lists rooms at either resort. Other resorts may end a little earlier or later. Disney releases hotel dates in blocks, so this date jumps forward when a new block goes on sale.

Walt Disney World
Bookable for arrivals through about October 31, 2027, 394 days ahead. Last measured on October 2, 2026 by MagicFinders (unofficial).

History and the days it jumped

We keep one reading per day, for about the last two years. A sudden big drop is only recorded once a second reading confirms it.

Between releases the furthest date stays fixed. When it jumps by two weeks or more, Disney has most likely put a new block of dates on sale. Those days are listed under the chart, with the furthest date before and after.

Days ahead that Disney's site offered rooms, one reading per day since August 27, 2026 (37 readings). Latest reading, October 2, 2026: 394 days, through October 31, 2027.

No move of 14 days or more yet since August 27, 2026. When one shows up in our daily reading, we will list the reading date, the furthest date before and after, and how many days it moved.

When does Disney put new Disney World hotel dates on sale?

There is no fixed calendar. The last three Walt Disney World releases came in February 2024, April 2025 and April 2026. Room-only rates and packages went on sale on the same day each time. Recent releases covered January through October first, and November and December were added months later.

Disney gives little notice, usually a day or less. The history above lists any day the furthest date jumped.

A hotel alert can be set for any check-in date Disney is already selling. For a later date, set the alert once the furthest bookable date reaches your check-in.

How far ahead can you book Disney World dining and events?

Restaurants and dining events open 60 days before each date, at about 6:00 AM Eastern. With a Disney Resort hotel stay, you can book dining for every day of the stay, up to a 10-night stay, on the morning your check-in date is 60 days away. Our Disney World dining calculator does the math for your dates, and what time reservations open covers the morning itself.

Tours and other Enchanting Extras open 60 days ahead, on the same schedule as dining. Fireworks dessert parties also open 60 days ahead. Seasonal party tickets and some holiday dining packages go on sale on dates Disney announces.

The alert builder lets you pick a restaurant or event date up to 180 days ahead. Check the product's page on Disney's site for its on-sale date.

Why a date can look sold out when it is simply not on sale yet

Past the furthest bookable date, Disney's booking system offers no rooms for your dates. That can look like a sold-out resort, but the rooms are not on sale yet.

If your date is after today's furthest bookable date, it is not sold out. Disney has not put it on sale yet, so nobody can book a room for it on Disney's site. Watch this page for the date to move, then set an alert for your dates.

Questions

Can I book a Disney World hotel 2 years in advance?

Not right now. In our daily checks since August 2026, the furthest date Disney's site sells Disney World hotel rooms for has stayed well short of two years. Travel agents book the same Disney rooms. As far as we know, they cannot book a date before Disney puts it on sale.

Is the Disney World booking window the same as the 60-day dining window?

No. Dining and dining events open 60 days before the date. If you stay at a Disney Resort hotel, you can book dining for your whole stay (up to a 10-night stay) 60 days before check-in, so a meal late in your trip can be booked up to about 70 days ahead. Hotel rooms sell much further out, up to the measured date above.

How accurate is the furthest bookable date?

It is the last check-in date for which Disney's site offered rooms at either of the two resorts we check that morning. About a dozen requests narrow in on it, so it can be up to 2 days short of the true last date. We check again every morning. A sudden big drop is only recorded once a second reading confirms it.

Is this page official?

No. MagicFinders is an independent alert service, not affiliated with Disney. The hotel dates come from our own daily checks of Disney's booking site. The 60-day dining rule is Disney's published policy.
