Terms of service

MagicFinders is run by K Consulting LLC. Postal address available on request at hello@magicfinders.com. Email hello@magicfinders.com. By signing in, setting an alert or buying a pass you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy.
What MagicFinders does
MagicFinders checks Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort public booking pages for dining reservations, bookable experiences and resort-hotel rooms you ask us to check, and emails you (and texts you, if you turn that on) when we see one open. We do not book, hold or guarantee anything; you book on Disney’s own site or app. Openings are scarce and go fast — an alert is information, not a reservation. We check restaurant and event dates most often when it matters most: on opening mornings, and by day in the last two days before a date. Dates further out are checked less often, some of them less often still at night, and less often still when our checks are busy. Hotel rooms are checked at the same pace day and night, and more often in the week before check-in. These paces can change.
Who can use it
MagicFinders is for adults planning their own trips. It isn’t directed to children under 13, and you must be 18 or older (or the age of majority where you live) to use it or buy a pass. The Trip Pass is offered to residents of the United States and Canada.
Accounts
You sign in with a link we email you; keep that mailbox secure. We never ask for your Disney password and you must never send it to us. One person, one account. Free plan limits are per person, not per account: if you open more than one account to run more free alerts, we count the alerts across those accounts (for example, accounts created from the same browser), and we may end the extra ones. A pass raises the limits for the account it is bought on. We may suspend or end accounts that abuse the service, and you can delete yours any time from the Account page.
Acceptable use
Use MagicFinders only to plan your own trip. Don’t use it to resell, hold or broker reservations, to run automated traffic against us or Disney, or in a way that breaks Disney’s own terms — that’s on you. Limits (alerts, restaurants, date ranges) exist so checking stays reliable for everyone: we check at a modest, spaced-out pace and cap what anyone can ask us to check. We may stop checking any venue, date or site at any time.
Free plan and passes
The Free plan lets you run a small number of alerts by email. Where we offer it, the Trip Pass is a one-time purchase that raises those limits for a set number of days of checking and then ends on its own — nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel. If you buy a pass while one is active, the new one is queued to start when the current one ends. Prices are in US dollars (USD) and the total, including any tax, is shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
Payments are final
A pass is a one-time purchase: its higher limits apply as soon as you pay, its days of checking count down from the first check (the pass page shows when that will be before you buy), and it ends on its own. Passes are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. If we ever have to stop the service before your pass ends, we may credit or refund the unused portion at our discretion. If a payment is reversed (for example through your bank), the pass ends and your alerts are held to the Free plan: any over its limits are stopped, never deleted, and you can set them again. Deleting your account forfeits any active pass.
Text messages (SMS)
MagicFinders alerts is a text-message program run by K Consulting LLC. If you add and confirm a mobile number on your Account page, we’ll text you a one-time confirmation code, alerts when a restaurant, hotel or event opening you’re watching appears, and any test texts you request. Message frequency varies — usually a few texts per trip, none most days. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Reply STOP at any time to cancel (you’ll get one confirmation text and nothing more); reply HELP for help, or email hello@magicfinders.com. Texting is optional — email alerts work without a mobile number, and agreeing to texts is never a condition of buying anything. Alerts can arrive at any hour. We keep a record of your consent and any STOP request as the law requires. Only US and Canadian numbers are supported.
Availability and liability
The service is provided as-is; it can be interrupted, and Disney can change or block what we read at any time. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages (a missed reservation, a trip that cost more, or anything Disney does), and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the previous 12 months.
Names and trademarks
MagicFinders™, our logo and design belong to K Consulting LLC. Disney, Walt Disney World and Disneyland are trademarks of Disney Enterprises, Inc., a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company; we use those names only to say what we check. We’re not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Disney and we don’t use Disney logos, characters or artwork.
Disputes and governing law
Talk to us first — email hello@magicfinders.com and give us 30 days. After that, disputes go to small-claims court or the state or federal courts in San Mateo County, California. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll post the new date here and email account holders before a material change takes effect; continuing to use MagicFinders after that means you accept it.
