Openings Report

Once a month we add up what our own checks saw across Walt Disney World and Disneyland dining, events and resort hotels: which venues had a table, seat or room on the fewest dates, when openings tended to appear, and how many sold-out nights came back. It is unofficial, it lags the month by at least 7 days, and it publishes only when we saw enough to say something. Aggregates only — never a live availability grid.

Also: new and removed restaurants and events (21 so far), as our checks notice them.

Reports

Monthly Openings Reports and their status
MonthStatusObservations
October 2026 Collecting — publishes 7 days after the month ends 4,273
September 2026 Collecting — publishes 7 days after the month ends 93,580
August 2026 Not enough observations to publish 51,124

While the data accumulates: set a free email alert for the table, event or room you want and we’ll email you when we see it open. You book it yourself on Disney’s site — we never ask for your Disney login.

How this is measured

Every time one of our checks already has an answer from Disney’s public booking pages — the health probe that reads a park’s dining availability for one date, the nightly anonymous look-ups of resort rooms and Enchanting Extras, and the alerts people run — we keep one line per venue, date and party size: was anything bookable, and how many times. Nothing about who asked, and no prices.

Share of dates with any availability is, for one venue, the number of reservation dates on which at least one of our looks saw something open, divided by the number of dates we looked at. It is a rate of what we saw, not a measure of how many tables existed. First-sightings are the moment an alert first saw a date open, or a change from “nothing” to “something” between two of our looks at the same date — so their timing is only as fine as how often we looked. Nights that reopened are check-in nights we saw sold out for two adults and later open again.

Thresholds: a venue is ranked only with at least 30 observations across 8 or more dates; timing charts need at least 5 first-sightings; a month publishes only 7 or more days after it ends and with at least 500 observations on 20 or more days. Where a number is missing, we did not have enough to say.
